Kayla Wallingford: Please pray for Kayla. We are still awaiting answers but she was taken to the E.R. this morning. We are keeping in close touch with her and Reid.
Vacation Bible School: Pray for the children who will be joining us this week. Pray for Gospel clarity. Pray for God's extra grace and energy for the 50+ volunteers donating their time to help make this happen!

Update from the Elders |
|
|
The Elders met yesterday afternoon and discussed God's continued faithfulness to FBC Weston. We have been praying for direction on how to best steward the ministry and resources that God has provided. We believe the Lord has brought some clarity on how we believe He wants us to lead our church into the future. (This includes future plans regarding the parking lot.) So, here is what we are going to do. The Elders are going to push our next Family Meeting to August to allow time to finalize some vision planning, to meet with the Deacons to discuss further, and allow for some ministry/mission partnership opportunities to to prepare presentations. Our next Family Meeting will be unlike those we've done in the past as the bulk of our time together will be vision casting! As soon as we nail down the date we will certainly let the church know so we can make it a priority to be there! |

We will be having a Baptism Service in the near future! If you or your child has come forward with a profession of faith and are ready to talk next steps please contact Pastor Ricky. We will simultaneously be scheduling a class for eligible Baptism Candidates. |

Vacation Bible School |

VBS begins TONIGHT! We will see you all later. If you are not serving physically please pray. We hit 90 kiddos signed up. This is the largest group we have had!

Women's Book Club |

All FBC Women are invited to a Book Club on July 28th. They will be taking the month of July to read through Seeing the Supernatural by Lee Strobel. The book can be purchased by clicking here! |

Brothers & Sisters,
I pulled into the church parking lot after preaching at Sojourn Church yesterday (the ordination service went very well, by the way) and thought church was still on. There were so many cars still in the parking lot. I quickly realized that it was the volunteers pulling VBS together. What a fitting application to the very message Pastor Shawn shared yesterday from John 20. Thank you all so very much for pulling together. It is shaping up to be a chaotic but very fun week! I look forward to serving with you all!
