Slump Family - Please continue to pray for peace and comfort as the family grieves.
Unrest - Pray for the amount of unrest we are seeing in our world today. Wars in the Middle East and riots and protests in our own country have certainly made things feel tense. Remember, Jesus is on His throne! |

Update from the Elders |
We know that there has been a few weeks since our last Family Meeting. At that meeting the church voted to put in a new Parking Lot on the west side of our property on the old baseball field. Shortly after the Elders asked for any work to be placed on pause for further discussion because we believe the vote was premature. The Elders had not had time to discuss before it was put forward for a vote. We do believe that a parking lot needs to happen but would like to discuss things further to put forward a larger vision for the church to consider that includes taking care of the parking needs. Due to Summer schedules with vacation travel we have scheduled our next meeting for Sunday, June 29th. We will have another update on the other side of that meeting. Thank you for your patience! |

Dust off your boots and grab your bandanas—it’s time to get your tickets to Wonder Junction! As we look around the West, we see so many things to wonder at—lovely landscapes, created critters, and intriguing inventions. But none of these compares to the grandest wonder of all—our Savior Jesus Christ! Here at Wonder Junction, we know there’s no greater joy than to praise the name of the Lord all day long. But how can yer kids do that if they don’t know who Jesus is or what he’s done for them?
In this Western-themed VBS, kids will learn all about who this amazing Jesus is as we dig into questions such as: What amazing things happened surrounding Jesus’ birth? What was Jesus like as a child and teen? What wonders occurred during Jesus’ ministry years? How were Jesus’ death and resurrection like no other? What should we be doing as we wait for Jesus’ return?

Pastor's Pen |
Brothers & Sisters,
"It's so quiet around here." The words just left my mouth as I was making my way from the Fellowship Hall to the Sanctuary for our Pre-Service Meeting with Pastor Daniel and all those who have a role in our Worship Service. As much as I love Summer time I must admit that it is a little hard for me. Apart from the heat (give me temperatures below 70 year round and I'll take 3 feet of snow!) things just tend to slow down at the church while they pick up in homes (or vacation homes!) You can see the Church Calendar is reflective of that.Thinking on yesterday's passage I want to encourage you. While you enjoy some much needed rest, time away on vacation, and intentionally take time to reconnect with family and friends don't forget to Sabbath with the Lord. Take time for physical rest but do not neglect the rest Christ brings to the soul!
If you haven't signed up your kiddos for VBS, do so! We are just about a month away and this is shaping up to be one of the best yet.
“From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the Lord.” -Isaiah 66:23 ESV |
