Men & Children Campout

Thank you for joining us! Our first Men's Campout with the children was a big success. Once the rain stopped we got camp set up, stomped around in the mud and creek, and enjoyed a meal together. Following dinner Dylan Watsons addressed the men encouraging us in our high school to shepherd our families and the anxiety and stress that can bring. He reminded us from Philippians 4 that we do this with the Lord's leading in our own lives. Before we turned in for the night Shawn Duryea & Ricky Sands discussed the importance of shepherding our families and even addressed the single men and younger teenagers about having a vision for who God calls them to be early in life. Shawn led a devotional with the entire group, setting an example of what it looks like to lead Family Worship at home. After a devotional in Genesis 1, asking and answering questions from Keach's Catechism, Ricky led the group in a song, and Jasmine Woods closed our time together in prayer. Each man in attendance was given a couple of resources to keep it going at home. Big thanks to Kyle Haas for making sure we didn't go home hungry and to the Morans for their gracious hospitality! We are already planning the next camp out in the Fall!

Vacation Bible School

Dust off your boots and grab your bandanas—it’s time to get your tickets to Wonder Junction!

As we look around the West, we see so many things to wonder at—lovely landscapes, created critters, and intriguing inventions. But none of these compares to the grandest wonder of all—our Savior Jesus Christ! Here at Wonder Junction, we know there’s no greater joy than to praise the name of the Lord all day long. But how can yer kids do that if they don’t know who Jesus is or what he’s done for them?

In this Western-themed VBS, kids will learn all about who this amazing Jesus is as we dig into questions such as: What amazing things happened surrounding Jesus’ birth? What was Jesus like as a child and teen? What wonders occurred during Jesus’ ministry years? How were Jesus’ death and resurrection like no other? What should we be doing as we wait for Jesus’ return?

Get yer tickets (sign-up) here!

If you would like to volunteer for please contact Autumn Sands for more information. There is a role for everyone!!

Pastor's Pen

Brothers & Sisters,

The Sands Family is going on vacation! Following service on Sunday we will be away for a time of rest. Office Hours will be limited to Tuesday & Thursday from 8:30-11:30 from May 12-27. Daniel will be available for any Pastoral needs and/or visits during that time. The Elders & Deacons will be available for other needs. Please visit the About Us page on our website or check the Church Directory for any contact information needed. We are so blessed to have a multiplicity of shepherds and servants at FBC Weston!

We are looking forward to getting a little R&R. Please pray for us as we prepare for this time away and that we would truly rest while we are. There are several opportunities for you to enjoy fellowship and jump into ministry while we will be away. I want to encourage you to join the Henkel's for the PRC Tour. This is a WONDERFUL ministry and this is the opportunity to go see for yourself all the Lord is doing through their effort. Also, I am really excited for the first of many Senior Adult focused ministry opportunities happening. We will return just in time for the VBS Volunteer Meeting and Women's Conference!

I'll be around this week if you would like to connect before we head out next week.
